Public Literacy Flyer

Need daycare?

Wouldn't it be more convenient to have
an affordable one right here on campus?

Let’s talk about how we can make that happen and what to do in
the mean time until it happens. Information on financial assistance and
voucher programs will be available as well as a list
of daycare's in the Evansville area.

Come see Lacey under the UC Bridge On April 20 & 22 at 10:00.

What do you think?

So we are having this public sphere and I need ways of drawing people in and get them to notice what I'm promoting. I have decided to sort of make a petition about the new cone shaped thing that they will be building. I don't think we need it. They are also making more offices but I have a solution. Take the old library and put more eating places in there for students to eat and use the space upstairs to put more offices. We don't need to spend extra money on a cone shaped thingy. My professor was suggesting that maybe they should put the daycare there but I think we should put the daycare away from the buildings. Students hang out and smoke in front of the cafe and around the fountain whenever its warm outside and I know the kids in the daycare want to play outside when its warm and we don't want to expose them to the smoke. So maybe we should put the daycare away from where the students hang out so they have enough room to have a playground outside to play on.

Public Sphere Proposal

For my ENG 201 class we are to do a public sphere thing at our school. I've chosen to propose that the university should build another daycare on campus. I think it should be cheaper then the one on campus. It's way too high and you have to pay by the hour or weekly, which could cost a student about $150 a week. There should be three main workers who will get paid and any students studying child development should be required to work in the daycare for a required credit.
