What do you think?

So we are having this public sphere and I need ways of drawing people in and get them to notice what I'm promoting. I have decided to sort of make a petition about the new cone shaped thing that they will be building. I don't think we need it. They are also making more offices but I have a solution. Take the old library and put more eating places in there for students to eat and use the space upstairs to put more offices. We don't need to spend extra money on a cone shaped thingy. My professor was suggesting that maybe they should put the daycare there but I think we should put the daycare away from the buildings. Students hang out and smoke in front of the cafe and around the fountain whenever its warm outside and I know the kids in the daycare want to play outside when its warm and we don't want to expose them to the smoke. So maybe we should put the daycare away from where the students hang out so they have enough room to have a playground outside to play on.

  1. The new cone shaped building does seem like a huge waste of money. I know alot of students have been complaining about it, but it wont change a thing inless the students start complaining to the faculty about it and get more people involved.

So public sphere day will be the perfect opportunity to raise awareness and build support against the new building.

  2. I totally agree. If we as students (and faculty) don't like something they are doing on campus then we can get together and do something about it. I don't think the cone shape fits with the rest of the campus and I think its absolutely ugly. We can't just sit back and do nothing about it, we have to make a change and a stand.
